We are a small fellowship of believers who seek to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, live in His Spirit, and trust in His promises. We do this by gathering to celebrate God together on Sunday mornings, studying the Bible together (and teaching it to the children in our community in midweek classes or in the shared summer VBS program), supporting charities, operating a food pantry, and hosting special events for the purposes of fellowship and relationship building. We lift each other up in prayer, share our joys and concerns, share meals together, and meet needs as we are able.
Demographically, we reflect our rural community, but are a welcoming community. Offerings collected on Sunday mornings are used to support our church's operating expenses, and to support local and world missions (Compassion, International - overseas missionaries - local rescue missions and shelters, etc.).
Our food pantry is open on Monday nights from 4:30 to 6:00pm (or by appointment), a nursery is available during the worship hour (9:00 to 10:00 AM), an adult Bible class meets before worship in the fall, the mid-week child evangelism fellowships meets on Wednesdays after school from 3:15 to 4:30 PM during the school year, and our vocal and bell choirs meet on Monday and Tuesday nights respectively.
Our church is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), and is a member of the Presbytery of East Iowa. Theologically, we stand in the Reformed tradition. That means that we rely on the Bible as our guide for right teaching, and that we rely on the grace of God through Jesus Christ for salvation.
As Presbyterians, we believe in a democratic style of church government. The ministry of the church is directed by an elected group of spiritual leaders (the "Session") in partnership with the pastor who is called and employed by the church. We affirm that Jesus Christ alone is head of the church. Pastors and spiritual leaders make mistakes. God doesn't.

Feel free to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. Our worship service is conducted in a mostly traditional, yet accessible, style. We do incorporate some contemporary elements in our service (praise and modern Christian music - plus the occasional video clip) and have a screen and projector in the sanctuary for help visitors and worshippers more easily follow the service.
It is our main desire to enable the genuine worship of God.
